A snuggle and a kissie...

We just returned from a quick trip to Seattle. We hadn't seen Shelby May in person since January, and felt the need for some hugs and kisses.

Shelby has grown up so much in the last 3 months... and not just in size. Now she can run, talk, and sing a half dozen songs... on key, too! And she's quite the personality kid.

She's a serious student, too. We brought her some books, and her favorite was the "can you find it?" book. She and grandma spent hours pouring though it, and I've never seen a little kid concentrate so intensely.

We enjoyed the opportunity to take her to the park and to take her shopping at the mall. She can eat adult food now, and is a delightful dining companion. This pose reminded me of the song, "The prettiest girl, I ever saw, was sipping cider, through a straw..."

As a grandpa, I just love the shots that show the bond between Shelby and her mom.

We won't see Shelby for Easter this year, but we have last year's bunny picture to remind us how cute she was...

and a picture of her in this year's Easter outfit to show us how much she's grown.

I think she's still plenty cute. ;-)

  1. She's adorable!!! Rosalind is here and we both think she should be a model. You certainly have reason to brag about her.

    Love,
