Welcome, Paige Jewel Conway!

Nancy and I flew to Seattle a few days before Brooke was due to bless us with grandbaby #3.  That gave us time to learn Shelby's schedule before her mom and dad left for the hospital.  Brooke and Shelby are so close that I was concerned how Shelby would handle a 3 day separation.

The concern grew to worry when I saw how Shelby reacted when Brooke and I dropped her off at school.

But in the end, thanks to great preparation by Brooke and Andrew, all went well.  They left for the hospital at noon...

and Paige made her entrance just a few hours later.

The following morning, Shelby met her little sister for the first time.  It was magical.

 

Since Brooke had a C-section, she stayed in the hospital for a few days.  Nancy and I did our best to spoil Shelby, and took her to her favorite destination... the Seattle Aquarium.  She enjoys meeting the other kids as much as seeing the fishies.

Brooke returned home on Friday, and there was a new head...

and two new feet...

in the Conway Castle.  Paige was clearly happy to be home...

Shelby was happy to to have a larger audience to admire her puzzle solving skills...

and Grandma was enchanted.  (So was Grandpa)
